Yea new cookbooks
yoaaazaa.. two post in one day..??
Yea for new cook books! I have been LOVING Vive la Vegan soo much I just had to order Dreena's other book Everyday Vegan! And along with it (well, I HAD to get the free shipping from Amazon) I got 20 Minutes to Dinner: Quick, Low-Fat, Low-Calorie Vegetarian Meals by Bryanna Clark Grogen yet another cookbook goddess.. My dear sweet daughter Amber works at a tourist shop down town and this morning surprised me this morning w/ The Joy of Blueberries -Natures little Blue Powehouse. Not a vegan book, but will be fun to veganize the recipes!
Soo I wasted no time ...I had already started some 12 grain bread this morning to that I added avocado, red pepper lettuce and from Everyday Vegan the Egg-less sandwich filling! Flippen Good Eats again! The kids had a peanut butter and jelly.. As I have not been able to sell them on the goodness of tofu!

Hi! Thanks for posting on my blog, i love yours!!! I want to read more of what you have to say here, but today's eggless salad looks great!!!! Kids not gettin' into tofu yet? Give 'em time...
Cool cookbook score!
I am the only vegan in the world who doesn't own Vive le Vegan.
I do the same thing when I order books on line - order enough so I get free shipping! I want the books anyway, so why not.
I have both of Dreena's books, but have never made the eggless sandwich filling. I still do occasionally eat eggs and usually it's in a sandwich. What am I waiting for? I should just go ahead and try that. Does it taste like egg salad?
hey carrie,
ya I think its pretty close.. Hubby says not really, but makes a good sandwich filling...If I made it again i would add a touch of mild curry powder... cuz, that's just the kind of gal I am
The joy of blueberries - yum! I haven't tried that sandwich from the cookbook yet - looks appetizing! I love reading blogs for this very reason, they keep me seeing all the good looking food in my cookbooks. And you chik'n nuggest looks "finger lickin' good!"
Congrats on your cookbook additions :) The Everyday Vegan is an awesome cookbook. The Joy of Blueberries sounds like a great book. It's so much fun veganizing recipes.
